Summer Highlights At The Beresford

The Beresford is celebrating Sydney's unrivalled summer with outdoor cinema, local art shows and an impressive line-up of live music.

Kicking off this coming long weekend, the Beresford's fabulous courtyard will be transformed into an outdoor cinema with weekly Monday night showings. Hitchcock, Coppola and Scorsese get the season started with Director's Chair in October, before November's Staff Picks roll in.

December brings Soundtrack Season, presenting films with unforgettable scores, such as Jaws and West Side Story, while January introduces the real knee-slappers. February, the Beresford is showing its romantic side with love stories, including Dirty Dancing and Notting Hill. March celebrates equality and freedom with applauded films such as, Milk and A Single Man, before action-packed flicks like The Departed and Bourne Identity steal the scene in April.

The Beresford, in conjunction with Chandon, will host a Welcome to Summer party, Saturday the 26th of October. There will be a sizzling BBQ, complimentary Chandon and DJs spinning tunes throughout the afternoon.

From 6pm Thursdays, a weekly art showcase will feature some outstanding emerging talent, including sculptors, illustrators and painters.

Upstairs Beresford will continue to host an impressive line-up of notable live musicians and DJ sets—every Friday and Saturday night.

And don't forget the Beresford's food favourites: $20 chicken parmigianas on a Tuesday; Italian Mama's Table feast on Wednesdays; $15 homemade pasta and pinot on Thursdays; and the glorious courtyard Cucina BBQ and spit roast every Sunday, to heat things up.
