Home Country Blacktown

Going to the theatre just got a whole lot cooler thanks to Urban Theatre Projects. This creative bunch is taking over a multi-level car park in Blacktown to bring you Home Country as part of the Sydney Festival.

There’ll be no popcorn or choc tops here, but you can expect one big Afghan feast (included in the ticket) and live Arabic-inspired music.

Exploring the idea of home and identity, Home Country is the story of urban Sydney told in three interweaving chapters from the perspectives of an Aboriginal man, post- war Greek migrant and a recently arrived immigrant to Australia.

As the stories unfold, you’ll be guided through each level of the car park so wear your comfy shoes and get set to for your yearly dose of culture.

Where: Colo Lane Car Park, Blacktown
6:30pm, 11th – 22nd Janurary
Cost: $59 + booking fee (includes communal feast)

Is your New Year's resolution to eat more? Ours too, check this out.
