Ye-Ha! The Oxford Tavern Finally Set To Open

By Ellie Schneider - 29 Nov 2013

The clever team at Drink 'n' Dine is venturing into the wild, wild Inner West to bring you The Oxford Tavern—a beer barn with plenty of hearty food, booze and a schnitzel-fuelled vengeance. Giddy-up!

Already providing Sydney with a colourful wonderland of watering hole/ eateries, comprising The Norfolk, The Forresters, Santa Barbara, The Californian and House of Crabs—Drink 'n' Dine, will open its doors to The Oxford Tavern December 13—ye-ha!

The neighbourhood beer barn will feature sports, pool tables and a huge beer selection on tap, while out the back Rita's Lounge is a late night honky-tonk open till 3am.

For those who like to cocktail, we recommend a Slow Dazzle (Black Strap Rum, Campari, lime, pineapple), a Black Velvet (stout & champagne), or a Banana Hammock (sugar cane, rye, banana, lime).

As for the food, there's Asado Steak Tacos (with house-made tortillas), Buffalo Cauliflower and Chook San Choy Bow, along with all the pub staples including: stadium-sized Double Dogs; fries topped with sour cream, bacon and green onion; steaks; and schnitzels. The Tavern will also house a custom steel drum smoker, from which will come forth smoked brisket, pulled pork, Brontosaurus Ribs, smoked sausage and lots more.

There are weekly specials like steak night, ladies' night, $3 tacos and $10 burgers.

Could this place get any better?
