If you’re partial to outdoor movies, free scoops of ice cream and making the most of our city during the summer, then we’ve got some awesome news for you.
Ben & Jerry’s blessed us with their permanent Ponsonby ice creamy late last year and now, they’re bringing their famous Openair Cinema to Auckland this February—hurrah!
Kicking off this Friday, Western Springs will be taken over by live music, loads of blockbuster flicks and glorious Ben & Jerry’s ice cream by the bucket load.
What’s more, your Sundays are about to become ‘Sundaes’. Ben & Jerry’s Sundae Sessions will see NZ’s best up-and-coming live bands take to the stage as you and your mates enjoy the moo-sic and play a couple of games on the lawn (cow jenga, anyone?).
Once the sun goes down, it’s time to prop up those dancing feet, lay back in a bean bag and lock your eyes on the big screen. The line-up is looking tops with Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, The Good Dinosaur, Joy, Sisters, The Hateful Eight, and of course, the 30th Anniversary Screening of Back to the Future. Great Scott!
And what’s a movie without something to snack on? For those of us who can’t get enough of the sweet stuff, Ben & Jerry’s will be there in all its gooey, chunky glory. Farina will also be serving up their tasty gourmet pizzas to cinemagoers and Geisen Wines, Monteith’s Beer and Rekorderlig Cider are sure to quench any thirst.
