A Beautiful Scandinavian Festival Is Coming To Brisbane!

Forget day trips to IKEA being seduced by those minimal wooden and white toilet brushes that you simply do not need. If your favourite foreign word is ‘Smorgasbord’ and roast meat, boiled and pickled vegetables are your diet staples, look no further—there is more to Scandinavian culture beyond the shelves of IKEA and notions of fika.

To prove it, a gorgeous food-packed Scandinavian Festival is coming to Brisbane! Bringing together the local clubs of Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Estonia, Brisbane’s Scandinavian Festival is back with a truck load of exciting cultural and entertaining offerings to celebrate everything Scandinavian.

What to expect? An abundance of food, glorious food, that’s for sure. Prepare for one of the biggest Scandinavian buffets you ever did see, of traditional eats and drinks while taking part in a historical tale for entertainment. Traditional performances will be for viewing pleasure right throughout the day, including music, dancing and—wait for it—Saga Vikings.

Could this day seriously get any better?!

Ps. BYO stretchy pants.
