In a total shock move, the iconic and award-winning Brisbane dining institution that is Montrachet is packing its bags—swapping their classic Paddington digs for something truly special… hello King Street in Bowen Hills!

Having been a part of Paddington’s core restaurant set for more than 13 years, the magic of Montrachet is undeniable, and though the move is truly the end of an era this moves sparks a new lease on life for the French icon.

Montrachet’s soon-to-be new location on the corner of King and Machinery Street is set to be one of the most beautiful spots in Brisbane—and we’re not surprised in the slightest! Set to take on more than double the floor space of their Paddington restaurant space, and featuring all the décor charm we’ve come to know and love, the new location will also feature a walk-in cellar, a state-of-the-art kitchen, plus new menu items to celebrate the move (don’t worry, though, all the classics we’ve been assured will remain. We’re looking at you double baked soufflé!).

Just to add to the excitement of a brand new location, Montrachet will also be launching their patisserie arm of the business right next door, where you’ll be able to get your hands on freshly baked French baguettes, sandwiches and incredible pastries. Ooh la la.

For now, the official move date is under wraps, but we’ll keep you posted on all the details as they come in.

While we wait for this magnifique day, make sure to drop in to Montrachet’s Paddington flagship for a drop of vino and a serving of their famous escargot!
