Sandwiches and spandex aren’t two things we usually put together, but the arrival of new Brisbane restaurant, Wham Bam Banh Mi—the latest venture from Libertine’s Andrew Baturo—is a super addition to the lunch scene on Petrie Terrace.

Aimed at the carb-loving time poor, Wham Bam Banh Mi will be operating out of Libertine restaurant in The Barracks, providing punters with authentic bahn mi and fresh Vietnamese salad bowls.

Street food is a massive trend this year, and Libertine’s take on the popular stuffed baguette is sure to be a doozy, with the option to takeaway, or sit and enjoy your haul in the outdoor courtyard. The 3 Little Piggies bahn mi, stuffed with three types of pork, Vietnamese pickled vegetables, and herbs has already caught our eye.

To celebrate the opening, get down to Wham Bam Banh Mi this Wednesday from 11am–2:30pm so you can nab yourself for only $6.
