If you’re planning on heading to Europe in October, we highly recommend you make a pitstop in London, more specifically the Harry Potter Warner Bros studio tour.
For just three special nights, brave witches, wizards and muggles are invited for an exclusive, after-hours evening of magic.
After launching in 2018, Hogwarts After Dark, is back for second year and this time they’ve upped the dark factor.
You’ll begin your magical evening by stepping onto the red carpet through the doors of the wizarding school into the Great Hall, which will be decorated with over 100 floating pumpkins, as seen on screen in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
Next, you’ll take a seat at the long communal tables laden with a delicious two-course dinner and drinks surrounded by the original props and costumes. You’ll feast on eats like autumn squash and apple risotto, smoked duck remoulade and roast lamb. There’s vegan options too.
Then you’ll grab a lantern and follow the spiders into the Forbidden Forest where dessert (think toffee apple cheesecake) will be served in the company of magical creatures such as Buckbeak the Hippogriff and Aragog the Acromantula.
Don’t get too comfortable though, Death Eaters will be roaming Hogwarts throughout the night and trust us when we say they’re absolutely terrifying in real life.
As well as having free reign to tour the studio and marvel at sets like the Gryffindor common room and Dumbledore’s office, you’ll also learn wand combat moves from Wand Choreographer, Paul Harris, in preparation for a live duel with Death Eaters.
Later, grab a Butterbeer and venture into Diagon Alley as the lights are dimmed, the music becomes more foreboding and the wizarding shopping street set is patrolled by creatures from the dark.
All that’s left to do is, Accio tickets before they sell out.
