More often than not, our iconic surf clubs are one of the few places on the Coast where you can sink a coldie with absolute uninterrupted beach and ocean vistas.
And when you boil it all down, life doesn’t get much better. Next time you’ve got out of town family or friends visiting, call on our pick of the Gold Coast surf clubs with the best views.
Currumbin Vikings SLSC
We believe, and we think you’ll concur, that Currumbin Vikings SLSC is the undisputed king of Gold Coast surf clubs with the best views. Perched alongside Elephant Rock outcrop, on one end of the blissfully beautiful Currumbin Beach, when the tide’s up you’re literally dining over the water’s edge. Really, there’s nowhere else on the Coast that comes close.

Greenmount SLSC
Fact. The further south you travel on the Coast, the more relaxed people get. Greenmount Beach Club (aka Tweed Heads and Coolangatta SLSC) is another top contender among Gold Coast surf clubs with the best views. The best time to visit? Anytime really, but why not aim for their weekend sunset sessions (from 6pm Fridays, and 2—5pm Saturdays).
Where: Corner Hill Street and Marine Parade, Coolangatta
Rainbow Bay SLSC
This modest establishment may not be as grand as other surf clubs to the north (which is why we love it), but what Rainbow Bay SLSC lacks in shiny facilities, it makes up in street cred. A stone’s throw from world-famous surf breaks, Snapper Rocks and Duranbah, and with endless views stretching the entire length of the sea-spray misted Coast, this is the hangout of living local legends Mick Fanning and Joel Parkinson.

Palm Beach SLSC
When it comes to eating out, there’s plenty of exciting stuff happening in Palm Beach these days, but it’s also good to see the local Palm Beach SLSC still receiving plenty of love. And with killer views from their massive back deck, it’s no surprise. Plus, who doesn’t love a mid-week surf club meal special and a courtesy bus to drive you home after one too many chardies and frosty pots?
Where: Corner 7th Avenue and Jefferson Lane, Palm Beach
BMD Northcliff SLSC
Northcliff SLSC is somewhat of a local institution with a devout supporter following that runs generations deep. They cook up some damn decent grub to pair with those priceless glitter coast views too and, when it comes down it, it doesn’t get more classic GC than that.
Where: 51 Garfield Terrace, Surfers Paradise
North Burleigh SLSC
Snuggled at the quieter end of Burleigh Beach, North Burleigh SLSC sure sits pretty among Gold Coast surf clubs with the best views. For visitors and locals alike, it just wouldn’t be a trip to the GC without at least one schooner and chicken parmy feast, plus you can leave knowing your money is going towards supporting a worthy cause. Isn’t that nice?
