Dreamt up by a designer, engineer, developer and product manager, the new female-designed Air Max Dia drops tomorrow.
Like the Air Force 1 Sage Low, another female spin on a Nike classic revealed earlier this year, the Dia is all about eliminating the bulk.
Similar to the Sage rework, the low collar height means ankles appear more sculpted, less suffocated. The heel stack has been maxed out (so to speak)—the bold, bubble-like heel has the biggest airbag in a women-only shoe.
And a translucent Nexkin upper means sock choice gets to play a leading part in your overall get-up.
The four dots on the heel represent the four ladies that brought the sneaker into the world, and also the spirit and the power of collaboration. Dia will come in a solid set of colourways too: like all white, soft pink, and a range of soft neons for the bubble heel.
Cop the Air Max Dia via Nike from Thursday 13 December.
