If there’s one thing we’re passionate about at Urban List, it’s helping you make the most of your weekend and the best way to do that is to plan an epic Sunday session. Sunshine, crispy cool ciders and canapes. What Sunday blues?
Here are all the best spots for an epic Sunday session on the Gold Coast.
North Burleigh Surf Club
Miami
The most memorable Sunday sessions happen after a morning spent at the beach. Once you’ve finished swimming in pristine waters, walk up North Burleigh’s soft white sand to the Surf Club. They have a rotating roster of local musicians playing every Sunday from 2pm till 5pm.
The Loose Moose
Broadbeach
Get loose at the The Loose Moose every Sunday and finish your weekend off right. With a rotating list of monthly musicians and all the booze your liver can handle, we promise it'll be worth the hangover.
Justin Lane Rooftop
Burleigh
It’s a well-known fact that drinks taste better when consumed on a rooftop. Justin Lane is the perfect spot for one last sesh to round out your weekend. There’s no better place to be on a sun-drenched afternoon than beautiful Burleigh. It opens at 12pm on a Sunday, with a DJ on the decks from 1pm.
The Island
Surfers Paradise
Now that the weather is well and truly warm, The Island throws rooftop Sunday sessions in the heart of Surfers Paradise. Grab a seat, a bucket of Coronas and soak up live music.
Aloha Bar & Dining
Broadbeach
Throw on your best party shirt and head to Aloha for a tropical sesh. They have fresh $1 oysters from 6pm until sold out and if that’s not enough, their pineapple cocktails boast adorable umbrellas.
Glass Dining & Lounge Bar
Main Beach
Dust off your white linen and head to Glass, right on the sparkling waterfront at Marina Mirage. You’ll be serenaded by talented musicians while the sun sets behind spectacular superyachts.
The Collective
Palm Beach
The more the merrier at a Sunday sesh. If you manage to scrape together a group of friends, head to The Collective where you can choose from five different kitchens, so everyone’s cravings are covered. They have a DJ spinning vibes and plenty of drink specials to excite your stingy friend.
Nineteen At The Star
Broadbeach
Grab a daybed by the pool and soak in the last of the weekend sun with a cocktail in hand. Nineteen has a relaxed dress code on Sundays and opens from 4pm.
Nobby’s Beach Bar Crawl
If you’re indecisive, simply head to Nobby’s Beach! It’s absolutely buzzing on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Enjoy a rooftop tipple at Hellenika, a craft beer at Bine, a cocktail at The Cambus Wallace, tapas at The Arc or margaritas at MexiCali.
Aviary Rooftop Bar
Southport
Listen to live acoustic while enjoying sweeping views of the skyline and inhaling a woodfired pizza at The Aviary. If you’re trying to keep it clean(ish), opt for one of their healthier cocktails made with kombucha.
