The Perfect Gold Coast Holiday For…The Adventurer

By Rachel Lay
1st Dec 2016

Congrats you’re in the draw! It seems you prefer to travel like an adventurer. Here’s exactly how you should spend your weekend getaway on the Gold Coast. The best news yet? Not only are we providing return flights and accommodation, but items from the list below marked with an asterisk** are included too. For a full list of the terms and conditions, please click here.

10 am

Waste no time when you arrive on the Gold Coast. Kick your morning off with coffee (an essential) and acai bowls from Currumbin's hole-in-the-wall cafe, The Salt Mill. Next throw on your swimmers and head over to Currumbin Alley for a surf lesson** at this gorgeous little point break.

1 pm

Wash the salt from your hair, then travel to Burleigh Heads for some lunch. We recommend Borough Barista for all-day breakfast or Jimmy Wah's for contemporary Vietnamese.

3 pm

Drive into the hinterland and through rainforest to your mountainside accommodation in Mount Tamborine. Witches Falls Cottages is our pick for mountainside luxury.**

6 pm

Settle into your hinterland digs at Mount Tamborine for a night of star gazing and chilling with the local wildlife.

9 am

It’s up bright and early for day two with a self-guided day spent chasing waterfalls and soaking up the epic hinterland scenery.

12 pm

You’re probably feeling just about ready for a wine, yes? So, make a beeline for Witches Falls Winery where the wine tasting is on us.**

2 pm

Next up, it’s time for a delectable lunch at Long Road Bistro or cheese tasting and craft beer paddles at Witches Cheese Chase and Fortitude Brewing Company next door.

3 pm

After lunch, mosey on over to Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk and discover a view of the rainforest usually reserved for the birds.

7 pm

Finish off your adrenalin-filled day with dinner for two at Songbirds Retreat before returning to Witches Falls Cottages and collapsing into your bed.

10 am

Get to know your locale by spending your last morning exploring the mountaintop village of Mount Tamborine, before checking out and heading back to the coast.

1 pm

Hit the open road and make your way to Tallebudgera Creek. The best option to explore is via stand up paddle board, so hire one from a mobile vendor and take to the water!

3:00 pm

Stop by our local fave, 8th Ave Terrace in Palm Beach for a late lunch** before travelling home and high fiving each other for conquering a fab weekend away on the Gold Coast.

**If you're our lucky winner, items marked with an asterisk are included in your prize for free.
