Aside from being home to some of the world's best beaches, the Gold Coast is full of epic events, delicious eats, and all round good times.

Fire up the iCal, slip into some stretchy pants and start filling up your diary because we've teamed up with The Star to bring you this list of all of the absolute must-dos for feasting this spring.

For The Luxe Celebration Cheers

Nineteen at the star

Nineteen is The Star’s newest venue and, guys, it’s a goodie. Expect a 110-seat modern Australian eatery with views across The Darling hotel’s luxury infinity pool, with endless views of the GC skyline. The best part, though, is a floor to ceiling cellar with a killer wine list (read: over 500 bottles!) and a local produce-driven menu. Our pick just happens to be their signature dish: an amaze-balls rock lobster Bolognese (stop it!).

For The Pre Dinner Cocktail

Cherry is the cocktail bar you’d have previously thought you could only find in Melbourne or Sydney. This sophisticated spot is perfect for a pre or post dinner tipple. If you want to go all out, make sure to book yourself a VIP booth to celebrate with the whole crew and then treat yourself to their signature, the Cherrytini.

For The Ultimate Feed…

Cucina Vivo

If Italian food is your vibe, and a good slice of pizza speaks to your soul, make a beeline for Cucina Vivo. Work your way through wood-fired pizzas and handmade pastas and make sure to order the Gnocchi Anatra Ragù, complete with braised duck, globe artichoke, roasted squash, lemon thyme and toasted pine nuts (drool). If you’re looking for authentic Italian fresh from the Amalfi Coast, this is it.

For The Late Lunch…

Mei Wei Dumplings

This hawker-style eatery boasts a 500+ item menu—aka, this spot is heaven for dumpling lovers. Sidle up at the counter and get ready to take your pick from Xia Jiao (prawn) and Shao Mai (prawn and pork) dumplings, pot stickers, noodle soups, honey glazed barbecue pork, Cantonese roasted duck and oh so much more—best shared between friends, obvs. Serving this deliciousness until around midnight, these guys have got your back no matter what time the hunger strikes.

For Next-Level Japanese Eats…

Kiyomi deserves a place on your GC foodie bucket list for its top-tier Japanese eats and out of this world plating up. The culinary jewel in The Star’s crown, if you’re feeling fancy we suggest running (don’t walk) right into Kiyomi for a seriously tasty feed. The menu is a total treat, with fancy dishes like scampi with foie gras, hiramasa king fish, binchotan grilled chicken and sashimi platters that are beyond anything we’ve ever seen before.

For Sunshine Drinking...

Garden Kitchen & Bar

Garden Kitchen & Bar is THE spot on the GC to set up shop for a spot of sunshine drinking and (intense) snacking. Gather your besties and settle in for a Spritz (or two!) on the terrace, paired with a loaded charcuterie board, fresh oysters, and mouth-watering bar snacks like sea salt & bush pepper calamari, skewers loaded with juicy Borrowdale pork and more. Sign. Us. Up.
