A Stunning Celebration Of Colour Is Coming To Fitzroy

Just when you thought Melbourne was getting dreary, one of our fave Indian restaurants decides to throw a festival of colour—have we mentioned how much we love this city?!

Mukka, aka the home of delicious dosas, biryanis and banana leaf fish in Fitzroy, is renting out a warehouse to celebrate Holi—the traditional Indian holiday which celebrates all that is colourful and encouraging everyone to come together, forget their inhibitions and go a little mad. Sounds pretty damn good to us!

So what are you in for exactly? Well, a $25 ticket will get you a warm cup of chai on arrival, a delightful Indian sweet treat (mithai), live entertainment and a whole lotta coloured powder (gulal) to throw around. (P.S. Only organic herbal colours made from natural ingredients will be used for this event.) Mukka will have a street food stall on standby, ready to dish out hot dosas, samosas and bhel puri once you’ve worked up an appetite.

While there won’t be alcohol at this event, it won’t be a bother because Mukka will also be serving their creamy, delicious mango and rose lassis. Get one of each and thank us later!

Tickets are on sale now, click here to grab one, and don’t forget your phone so you can add some colour to your ‘Gram game.
