We’re well and truly into the silly season now, and if that means travel for you, then you’re in for a real treat upon your visit for Melbourne Airport.
The ‘Departure Garden kicked off on December 15 and will run through to April 3.
Set up between Terminal 3 and 4, the Departure Garden seats 200 people and has a big screen where they’ll be showing all the summer sports you need to watch including the Australian Open, the Big Bash League and, of course, the Melbourne Grand Prix.
There’s a spot for kids that has been created by Melbourne cubby house creators—Castle & Cubby—that has been made out of recycled materials, and you’ll be able to grab some locally made icy poles and ice creams to keep the summer heat at bay.
So, there’s no need to turn up late to the airport and rush this year, in fact, get there early, have a nice cold beer from Stomping Ground, grab a bite to eat and relax before hitting up your holiday destination.
