Australian craft spirits are really shaking up the booze industry, and one of the most exciting names in the industry has come straight outta Victoria. Four Pillars Gin—a fantastic gin distillery based in Healesville—is making waves around the world, and this weekend marks the launch of its brand new distillery and eatery, aka. Australia’s new gin mecca.
The Four Pillars Distillery venue at 2a Lilydale Road is home to two traditional gin stills, heaps of delicious Australian made gins, a café, home-baked nibbles and some cracking food truck pop-ups. The new venture sees gin marmalade, wine barrel aged gin, mouth-watering gin flights, choose-your-own-adventure Negronis, tasty local coffee and fantastic food, all brought together under one gin-loving roof. Sounds like heaven, no?!
First off the food truck blocks are Burn City Smokers, the masterminds behind some of the best BBQ in Melbourne. You’ll be able to get your hands on some gin-matched BBQ treats all day Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November, making sure that nobody goes hungry during the launch festivities.
As well as letting you try gin until your heart is content, the Four Pillars team will be on hand to teach visitors about how gin is made, as well as running cocktail making masterclasses. If you’re wondering about the difference between shaken and stirred cocktails, or looking to perfect your G&T game before summer hits, book into one of their awesome masterclasses this weekend.
The Four Pillars Gin Distillery launches this Saturday 31st October and will be open throughout summer from 10:30am - 5:30pm, Thursday to Monday. If that’s not the perfect excuse for a Healesville weekend escape, we don’t know what is!
