Just Announced: The (Gin) Queen Is Coming To Melbourne In 2017!

By Millie Lester - 08 Feb 2017

It’s time to dust off your favourite frock and brush up on royal etiquette because the Kweeeen is coming to town. And we’re not talking about our second favourite matriarch, Liz II, we’re talking about the OG super-Kween, Caroline Childerley, who is three parts woman, one part gin, sixteen parts national treasure. Childerley is also the creator and producer of the largest gin blog in Australia and now hosts specialty gin tours around the country, where you can learn about the work that goes into each drop of the good stuff (and then drink it).

(Sorry to all the royal fam enthusiasts who just had visions of cradling Baby George outside a crocodile exhibit at Melbourne Zoo in their profile picture next month, but stay with us, gin lovers, we have some very exciting news).

Drum roll pls—The Gin Queen has just announced an exclusive Victorian gin tour in 2017! Coming off the back of a sell-out tour in Tasmania, the GQ has just locked in three Victorian distillery tour dates and we’re all a little bit excited to say the very least.

On Saturday March 11, the Gin Queen will escort a bus full of lucky dawgs to the Four Pillars Gin Distillery. A second tour will then take place on April 29 to urban distilleries Artemis Gin in Collingwood and Patient Wolf in Brunswick, and a third has been locked in at the Loch Brewery & Distillery on a yet-to-be-confirmed day in May.

For $115, you’ll get a fully escorted tour hosted by the Gin Queen herself to your drank haven, opportunities to meet the distillers, tastings, a cheeky G&T, a light lunch, and a cocktail at Melbourne bar, Bad Frankie upon conclusion.

For more information and to grab your ticket head to the official Gin Queen website.
