Next Tuesday 27 October, Arbory Bar & Eatery will launch Arbory Afloat, Melbourne's first floating bar. The definition of unique, Arbory Afloat will pop up in the middle of the Yarra for the public to enjoy until Sunday 8 November.
If laying claim to 'Melbourne's longest bar' wasn't enough, the team behind Arbory Bar & Eatery has gone above and beyond – with a vision for renewing urban Melbourne, and celebrating our world-class spring sports and cultural calendar, the bar has been designed with a nautical meets contemporary meets urban vide, with an undertone of 1970s Palm Springs flair... aka SUMMMEEERRRR COME AT USSSS!!!
Sitting (or floating, should we say) outside the existing Arbory Bar & Eatery on Flinders Walk, Arbory Afloat will be the perfect place for Melburnians to bask in the sun or kick on from Spring Racing festivities into the night, with cracking tunes curated by leading Melbourne musicians Chico G and Paul Jager, and food and beverage menus expertly crafted by Arbory's acclaimed chef Nick Bennet.
Consistent with all things sunshine and joy related, the menu will have a strong focus on usiing fresh premium seafood, in addition to a world-class charcoal grill serving a range of meaty-licious smoked skewers.
Complimenting dishes such as moreton bay bugs, Crystal Bay prawns, freshly shucked oysters, chicken sandwiches, lobster rolls, and CHEESE BOARDS (#cheeselyf), the bar will serve the likes of French champagne, specially created cocktails, and food friendly artisan beers. Can we get a 'hell yeah!'?!
Open from 11am until late everyday, Arbory Afloat will run from Tuesday 27 October - Sunday 8 November, and promises to be THE hottest pop up of the season.
Get there quickly, or we might just have eaten all the lobster rolls ourselves...
