A Moveable Feast Comes to Southgate this Winter

Those who find it hard to keep still or need a little adventure with their meal might just have found the perfect dining experience in the Southgate Moveable Feasts series. For eight glorious weeks between June 15th and August 4th, you'll never have to make the difficult decision of having Japanese or German; you can have it all from some of Southgate's best restaurants.

Experience three courses of world-class cuisine and, depending on what you're in the mood for, the next part of your meal is just a hop, skip and jump around the corner. With an array of different dining options, your taste buds could be holidaying in Japan for the entrée, Italy for your main and Germany for dessert, all without having to leave the convenient heart of Melbourne.

Operating over Sunday lunch and Monday dinner, each Moveable Feast will set you back between $60 and $85, plus a little bit of walking time. Can you even think of a better way to ease you back into the week?

With many newcomers to the game in Southgate participating in this unique dinning adventure, you'll have the opportunity to discover some gems you didn't even know had opened. Hoe into some traditional handmade Italian pasta at Artusi, where it's all about the art of eating and drinking well. Their paddock to plate philosophy will introduce you to a whole new level of authenticity and quality. Or perhaps you may find yourself getting your cozy on at Amarok Bar & Restaurant – here the focus is on fresh and local ingredients mixed with the warmth of Native North American flavours, served up in a super chillaxed environment located within Melbourne Ice bar.

And of course notable mentions go to Southgate classics such as family business Waterfront Southgate for its phenomenal, you guessed it, waterfront views. The bar and grill offers excellent seafood and an extensive wine list to complement. Pure South will also be at the top of your list as they bring produce from the most remote locations in Tasmania to the mainland with an ever-changing menu and quite a remarkable wine list stocking over 400 different varieties. And, for all of those hardcore chocoholics out there, you can end your multicultural journey with a decadent climax at the Lindt Chocolate Café. Anyone who has enough self control to turn down their Chocolate Hazelnut Gateau is not human and their agenda should be questioned immediately.

So, if you're up for a culinary adventure, get moving and book a lunch or dinner during Southgate Moveable Feasts!
