This Tuesday the 29th of April, hundreds of thousands of people around the world will be sliding off their shoes for a good cause.
TOMS One Day Without Shoes is a global initiative designed to draw attention to the plight of children in developing nations who face injury, illness and missed opportunity because they don't have adequate footwear.
By going without shoes for just a day, a meeting or even a quick Instagram snap, you can spark conversations about the risks children in developing nations face.
So, how do you get involved?
The first step, of course, is to get those footsies out!
Next, head to the website, where you can download the DIY toolkit and help spread the word around your workplace. Posters, banners, stencils…it'll give you the chance to get crafty and get others outta their boots.
You can gather your gang and take on the barefoot challenge – a foot-to-foot competition for groups pledging to go barefoot on One Day Without Shoes. The group with the most barefoot pledges will win a heap of prizes (including a TOMS party for up to 50 people) as well as endless good karma.
And, of course, you're all encouraged to gram, tweet and post your little hearts out on the day. Every foot pic adds to the conversation for change.
So, dear friends, it's time to slip off those loafers!
