From the team that brought you the Black Lodge from Twin Peaks and Back To The Future’s Under The Sea disco, we present the greatest event Melbourne has ever beheld...
A four-day orgy of worship for the great man himself—Mr. Bill Murray.
It’s being held at Howler (where else, right?), and they’re calling it the Bill Murraython—a pun that gets better the more you think about it. The guys from Tastemakers will be transforming Howler into a Bill Murray temple for the duration of the festival, complete with bean bag cinema and what promises to be a truly creepy candlelit shrine.
Pull up a bag and get stuck into four back-to-almost-back nights of Murray classics, including Groundhog Day, Rushmore, Ghostbusters and Lost In Translation (is it just us, or should Tootsie be on there too?)
Hawkers Beer will be on-hand, slinging the frothies, and there’ll be house-made choctops on standby. No word yet on Suntory whisky, but we can dream...
Here’s the schedule:
Wednesday 3 Jan - Groundhog Day
Thursday 4 Jan - Rushmore
Saturday 6 Jan - Ghostbusters
Sunday 7 Jan - Lost In Translation
You’re gonna want to get tickets for this one, pronto. With this amount of Murray worship in one place, we wouldn't be surprised if he just manifested, like Beetlejuice.
Where: Howler, 7–11 Dawson St, Brunswick
When: 3 January – 7 January 2018
