From Christmas Eve right through till the end of the festive season, there’s plenty happening to keep you fed, quenched and entertained. There are even a few sneaky options for Christmas Day if you simply can’t resist.

Burnley Brewing

These dudes are taking a break for Christmas Day, but they’ll be back and better than ever on Boxing day and right through the break. It’s the perfect spot to pull up a pew and watch the Boxing Day test. The best news is—the cricket will probably run long enough for you to try every. single. one. of their homemade beers.

Hunting for George Last Minute Shopping

If you haven’t got your presents sorted (or your life, but we won't go into that) Hunting for George is here to save your disorganized butt. African Jazz At The B.East

These guys are best known for their winning combo of burgers, booze and bands. Seems like the perfect combination if you ask us. They have a ton of events planned from Chrissy Eve right through till New Year's Day. You’ve got awesome acts like an African jazz band and Tommy Castles, and of course all the food and drink goodness like poutine, Gatorade cocktails (?) and a dedicated vegan food event.

Pop-Up Waterslide Park

Dust off your bathers and dig up your flip flops—a giant pop-up waterslide park is about to touch down in Melbourne. Bigger and better than ever, attractions include the six-lane Speed Racer and The Trippo, which is a 12-metre three lane torpedo machine.

Section 8 Block Party 

The party don’t stop just because the big red man came. Section 8 is the perfect place to escape your Nana’s pressing ‘when are you going to settle down’ lectures, and the perfect place for the ‘orphans’ of Melbourne with no family around for Christmas. There’s even a free BBQ and tons of local DJs to get that Christmas cheer pumping.

Christmas Day at Arbory

As if we didn’t have enough reasons to love Arbory Bar and Eatery already, now they’re putting on a damn delicious Christmas Day feast. The lunch includes the likes of seafood, stuffed turkey and Pavlova. Did we mention they have Aperol Spritz on tap? Head to their pop-up floating friend Arbory Afloat after lunch to keep the Christmas vibes pumping.

St Ali Christmas Lunch

Everyone’s favourite coffee joint, St Ali is getting even more hipster for Christmas Day. (We didn’t think it was possible). They have a different take on lunch, offering up yummies like poached lobster with butter lettuce, king prawn cocktails and summer peas with ricotta. There’s no pud at this table either—the guys are subbing in is smashed berries with coconut custard. Yum.

Let’s be real this year and not start off 2018 with any false statements about getting in shape.
