Everyone’s mum is different, so this Mother’s Day we’ve made your job easier by bringing you almost every single Mothers Day dining option in Melbourne, by mum-type. You can thank us later… flowers are always nice, but we prefer chocolate, cool?

Pure South Dining


Tassie is known for a few things, like weird art at MONA and animals that can devour a murder victim overnight, but let’s just talk about the food for now… Following a recent renovation and expansion over two levels, the new Pure South Dining has reopened to critical acclaim, with a menu that delivers a culinary journey through Tasmania. Mum will love lunch in the upstairs dining room, with two courses for $59pp or three courses for $79pp. Choose from dishes like Bass Strait wild-caught scallops, oyster, clams, Spring Bay mussels, mushroom, and broth, or the Mt Gnomon Wessex Saddleback pork loin and crackle, daikon, mushrooms, with xo sauce.



Any foodie, including your foodie mum, loves a bit of Teppanyaki action. Showcasing the highly refined skills of master chef Miyako, the Teppanyaki Lunch Set Menu for Mother’s Day is $42pp and showcases some of Miyako’s most popular dishes. Bookings are essential. 


South Wharf

Serving up a four-course degustation of modern Japanese dishes in a chic waterside setting, join head chef Hitoshi Yoshida for only $52pp, with a $29 kids menu. I believe you pronounce it, ‘arigato Urban-List-san’.

Mr & Mrs P


If your mum is a foodie, she’ll appreciate a menu with an unlimited bubbles option… So head to Bayside’s hottest new restaurant for Mother’s Day Brunch with plenty of champs. At $34 for two dishes, or $44 for three dishes, and $39 for unlimited bubbles, it’s affordable luxe at its best. Bookings are essential to secure your spot.


CBD, St Kilda

This modern Vietnamese mainstay has been making foodies happy for a while now, so it’s the perfect place to take your foodie mum this Mother’s Day. Treat her to the satisfying 'Uncle knows best' banquet at $59pp, including a kids option (available at Uncle's Collins St venue only). To top it all off is a complimentary glass of Dal Zotto prosecco to celebrate – cheers! Lock it in here.

Stokehouse St Kilda Beach

St Kilda

Although lunch at Stokehouse is fully booked for Mother’s Day at this point, there are still some spots available to take mum for a delectable dinner via their much-loved a la carte menu. Bookings can be made online via the Stokehouse website.

Mr & Mrs Anderson 

Hawthorn East

New opening Mr & Mrs Anderson have a couple of delicious specials on to surprise your foodie mum this Mother’s Day. For the savoury lover, there’s a smoked salmon mousse, paired with lavish, pearl barley, poached egg and pea shoots, and for the sweet tooth you can grab a decadent folded crepe, creme diplomat, champagne marinated strawberries, chocolate soil, meringue kisses, and lemon verbena dish. Yes, please bring this to me immediately.



Let’s start with the beer-loving mums, shall we? German eatery and holder-of-all-the-beers, Hophaus, are offering a complimentary Miniature Bavarian Dessert and schnapps with mum’s main meal. What a delicious chaser… Bookings are a must.

Good Beer Week: Mum's The Word


This is the perfect start to Mother’s Day for all beer lovers, novice and expert. ‘Mum’s The Word’ is a food and beer tasting event that sees unique pairings come together, like cucumber sandwiches with sour beer, and champagne beer with strawberries. Grab your spot here.

Meat Market


Do you have a champagne-loving mum on your hands? Let’s just say “2 hours of free-flowing GH Mumm” might be the perfect gift, then... Head to Meat Market for their three-course lunch or dinner at $75pp, and upgrade to 2 hours of free flowing Mumm Champagne for $99 per person.

Oakridge Wines


For the wine-loving mum, Oakridge Wines will stay open for dinner on Mother’s Day, with a roast of Yeringburg lamb on offer for $60pp. Plus, of course, all the best Oakridge wine on offer. Bookings will be available from 6pm. Just give them a buzz on 9738 9900.  

Terindah Estate 


Also channelling the winery vibes, you can treat mum to a three-course lunch down on the Bellarine Peninsula for the day, at Terindah Estate's signature restaurant, The Shed. Looking for a bonus? Receive a complimentary glass of Terindah Estate sparkling on arrival. The three-course luncheon is $70 per person and a special children's menu will also be available for $20. 

Mother’s Day At The Langham


No matter how you plan to spoil your mum this Mother’s Day, The Langham has got you covered. Start the day with a breakfast buffet and toasted waffles with caramel sauce in The Langham’s gorgeous ballroom before sending her off to get pampered with a 60-minute massage at the Chuan Spa. Melba Restaurant is the perfect venue for lunch or dinner—serving tandoori prawn cutlets, blue swimmer crab, char-grilled sirloin steak, rotisserie spit-roasted pork belly, and ricotta and spinach ravioli finished with aromatic truffle oil, you’ll be absolutely spoilt for choice. Be sure to top it all off with a teddy bear, scarf or rose gold phone stand to serve mum with a constant reminder of how wonderful her children are.

South Yarra

If your mum likes the finer things in life, why not take her out to enjoy a seasonally inspired three-course lunch created by The Botanical’s head chef, including a complimentary glass of NV Pommery on arrival? At $75 per person, you’d better believe that reservations are essential.

Mums will be welcomed with glass of Taittinger at Sofitel Melbourne On Collins’ Mother’s Day Brunch in a truly French affair.
