Emporium Just Opened A Trippy Alice In Wonderland Pop-Up Room

By James Shackell
9th May 2018

We often believe as many as six impossible things before breakfast, but even we didn’t see this one coming.

Emporium in the CBD has teamed up with ACMI’s newest exhibition, WONDERLAND, to launch Curioser & Curioser. It’s an Alice In Wonderland-themed room that distorts the fabric of space and time (it makes one of you look small and one of your look enormous). If you’ve read the Lewis Carol classic, you’ll know this is about as close to a ‘Drink Me’ and ‘Eat Me’ situation as you can get in the real world.

The optical illusion will be popping up in Emporium from now until Friday 18 May, the night of Shop The City.

And speaking of STC, Emporium will also be rocking a Mad Hatters Tea Party on the night. We’re talking cookies from Vickiee Yo and bespoke cocktails in little potion bottles labelled ‘Drink Me’ (think Archie Rose gin mixed with a T2 choc-berry infusion).

It’s an important date, so don’t be late. The Curioser & Curioser pop-up will be sticking around till 18 May.
