Men of Melbourne (well, those that read The Urban List), we know you’re a stylish bunch, which is why we’re practically leaping out of our loafers to tell you about The Festival of Steve, a day-long celebration of Melbourne’s best men’s fashion, accessories, style advice and more, which takes place at The Kelvin Club later this month.
The Festival of Steve, Melbourne’s first and only (we think?) guy-focused fashion festival brings together some of our favourites to celebrate all things men on Saturday 23rd May at CBD venue The Kelvin Club. We’re not 100% sure who Steve is, but we know that he has good taste as festival participants include tailor Oscar Hunt, men’s jewellers Lord Coconut, hair and grooming parlour Men+Co and book retailer Embiggen Books, who will bring along a library of manly classics for your reading pleasure.
As with many events for you dudes, of course, there will be beer—Temple Brewing Co will be providing some beverages to keep you all hydrated—and for those with a sweeter tooth, Mork Chocolate will be on hand to satisfy your cravings. The Festival of Steve is also hosting a series of seminars on top men’s issues including a no-bull chat about men’s health and wellbeing, a discussion about hipsters and their style do’s and don’t’s, and top tips on making an impression—the right one—when dating.
If all this sounds like hungry work, fear not! The Festival of Steve is working together with The Kelvin Club's kitchen and Om Nom dessert bar to feed all you hungry gents with a delicious two-course menu (Aka. Steve's Feast) accompanied by a glass of wine for a mere $30. Slow-cooked beef cheek? Chocolate whisky ganache? The perfect pairing for refuelling after the epic shopping event!
Trackies and trucker caps? Just say no, Listers! Get yourselves to the Festival of Steve on Saturday 23rd May for some top sartorial advice from Melbourne’s best men’s fashion and style advisors. You can thank us later.
