Hail ye Fitzroy food-lovers, get ready to say 'well met' to your new dining stop, The Lumber Yard. Set on celebrating 'old British' cuisine, the team behind this food adventure are set to impress by bringing all things British to The Workers Club. Blooming brilliant, right chaps?

The new dining room and restaurant will be located within Fitzroy favourite, The Workers Club on Brunswick Street, offering an intimate dining space that is cosy and simple. The Lumber Yard menu will boast classic dishes and techniques, such as smoked meat, drizzled with nostalgic elements like guinness mustard and black pudding, but made original with inventive twists such as creamy mash with parsley liquor. Yes you heard right; parsley liquor. Where do we sign up?

The Lumber Yard is brought to you by Nat Prescutto (previously Boatbuilders Yard and Yarra Glen Grand), Paul Hammond (Rushmore Group, Seamstress and Rosetta) and Dave Barron (Dry Store Espresso). The talented crew behind Ironbark BBQ, an American BBQ events-based cuilinary endeavour, Paul and Dave are now bringing their British know-how to this Fitzroy local.

So kick back, order a cheeky pint and some grub, and before you can say codswallop you'll already be enjoying the old British experience at The Lumber Yard. God save the Queen, and all that.

The Lumber Yard will open its doors at 7:30pm on Wednesday the 27th of August, so chivvy along and head down for a gander.
