Update:

Unfortunately, due to the increase in cases of coronavirus in Melbourne, The Drive-In has been cancelled.

"The current COVID-19 outbreaks in Victoria that have sent many hotspot areas (within close proximity to our venue) into lockdown have prevented the safe execution of this event. The safety of our patrons, staff and artists is our top priority and after consulting with various experts and officials this tough, but necessary decision was made.  Further to immediate health concerns, the possibility of artists being able to travel interstate is becoming increasingly uncertain and in some cases is now impossible.

We want to particularly thank everyone who bought a ticket & supported our endeavour to keep the music industry alive during these testing times. The Drive-in was set to create over 250 jobs per event & inject over $2 million dollars into a much suffering sector of our economy and we are devastated with this outcome."

All who purchased tickets will have received an email on Monday 6 July from Oztix in regard to their refund.

Melbourne's music scene took a big hit when the pandemic hit our city, and as we climb our way out of isolation, it's time to look ahead to events getting back up and running around the city.

Untitled Group—the team behind Beyond The Valley, Lost Picnic, and more—has announced a new kind of music festival coming to Melbourne this July.

The Drive-In will be Victoria's first-ever drive-in live music venue. Held at Flemington Racecourse, The Drive-In's line-up of the first three weeks has been announced and it's looking epic.

Kicking off on Friday 10 July with Client Liaison and Owl Eyes, with further dates including the likes of Alex Lahey, Winston Surfshit, Boo Seeka, Lime Cordiale, Ball Park Music, Baker Boy, and many more.

The team will announce an extended movie and comedy night programme soon.

The Drive-In will feature the same kind of production you'd imagine from a usual music festival, with parking grids designed with optimal site lines and the entire site being accessible for all levels of ability.

Untitled Group has worked with health professionals to ensure safe procedures and social distancing measures are in place to make sure everyone can enjoy The Drive-In safely.

You can sign up for pre-sale here, tickets go on sale Thursday 18 June at 6pm.
