What better way to celebrate the arrival of spring than with a delicious and authentic Tuscan dinner at La Svolta, Hampton? Tie the laces of your walking shoes and put away your sunglasses – The Leukaemia Foundation's Light the Night charity walk will be held at twilight tonight. Supporting research to help cure blood cancers like leukaemia, lymphoma, and myeloma, the Light the Night walk will take place at the Melbourne Zoo. Attendees will be given a lantern to symbolically shine a 'lantern of hope', gold to remember someone, white for personal journeys, or blue to support others. So sign up now, or donate to the cause to raise funds for the debilitating disorder that affects more than 60, 000 Australians.

The Fringe Festival is back, a not-for-profit affair aiming to help support emerging and established artists alike. Head down to The Imperial Hotel to catch giggle goddess Clare Hooper's show, School Camp. Head to the Hofbrauhaus to partake in a 1.5kg pork schnitzel challenge—where you score the meal for free if you finish the whole thing plus chips and a litre of bier! Serving up awesome Oktoberfest parties since 1986, the Hofbrauhaus opening night party will be the place to be for keg tapping, stein carrying comps, and lederhosen dance-offs.

From 12pm this Sunday, head to Pentridge Prison for the inaugural Northern Craft Beer Festival. Enjoy sampling some of the best craft beers and ciders in Australia, and chat to their makers. Favourites include Bridge Rd Brewers and Stone & Wood. Enjoy the Sunday session with some live music, great food and a home brew demonstration. Entry is only a gold coin donation, with proceeds going to Melbourne City Mission.

This Sunday, we'll be heading to the Arts Centre Melbourne artisans market, where local creatives show off their goods (as in their created goods, jeeze!) every Sunday. From arts and crafts, to jewellery, to tasty treats, everything is produced locally and will be abundant in unique treasures.

Heads up for next week! Register now for the DonateLife Fun Run on Sunday September 28th. It's time to go for a jog and stretch those hammies for a good cause, Listers! You can register as an individual, or suck your friends in to sweat with you. There's also a 3km version for the kiddy-winks. Held at Albert Lake and organised by The Event Space, the Fun Run celebrates the opening of the Australian Transplant Games. So transplant yourself there next Sunday, no one will judge you for walking!
