Premiering tonight and running until the 12th of September, the Environmental Film Festival features everything from exclusive IMAX screenings and panel discussions to delicious foodie events. A pop-up bar in Old Melbourne Gaol? Oh we are so there! This Friday night, the Old Melbourne Gaol will be transformed into a pop-up vodka bar, with a band and police sergeants (really!) to entertain. Running from this Saturday up 'til the 14th of September, Prahran Market, South Melbourne Market, Queen Victoria Market and Dandenong Market will be showcasing a range of tastings and tours, classes and competitions, street festivals and a whole heap more. This Saturday, the Dames of Distinction, specialists in vintage hair and makeup styling, will be dispensing their advice between 11am and 5pm. Vintage frock up and get dolled to the nines – you'll be looking glam this Saturday night!

Cinephiles looking for things to do in Melbourne this weekend – have we got the flick fest for you! Valhalla Social Cinema's legendary sci-fi marathon is on once again. This epic 14-hour screening session will be screening Moon, Robocop, The Matrix, Rollerball, Buckaroo Banzai and The Andromeda Strain at the Electron Workshop in North Melbourne. Doors open at 10am, and while beanbags and fold out chairs are provided, we recommend bringing a pillow or two to park under your caboose.

Got beef? 'Cause we sure do! Every Saturday and Sunday this September, Middle Park Hotel is hosting Moo at The Middle, a meat-feast like no other. Guests can eeny, meeny, miny, moo at the likes of slow roasted grain fed Black Angus rib fillet, served with oxtail marmalade, braised cabbage, Yorkshire puddings and red wine sauce. Oh, hello! We're already eyeing off the dessert, a warm mandarin pudding with citrus curd and vanilla. You can opt for two courses at $45 or three courses at $55 (who are we kidding, it's always going to be three!).

Vintage-wearing, market-loving friends, the Round She Goes Fashion Pop-Up Market is set to close this weekend! Head to The Drill Hall to shop the very best of women's vintage, handmade and pre-loved designer clothing, try your hand (haw haw) at a Trophy Wife Nail Art DIY workshop or get a lil' gluey (okay, a lot gluey) at an Unleash Creative craft workshop. Phew! Remember to also bring along any unwanted clothing, as the pop-up takes donations for the Red Cross (even better, donations will snag a prize!). Can't make it in time? This Saturday, they're setting up shop at Queensbridge Square in Southbank between 11am and 2pm. The boys from Hanoi Hannah will be cooking up a storm, and there'll be plenty of activities to keep all entertained.
