We once again have a jam-packed weekend in store for you, dear readers! With everything from food festivals to 'Shop The Show' fashion, vintage markets to preppy polo matches, here's everything that's happening around town this weekend in Melbourne.

Kicking off today, Autumn Flavour Exchange is taking over Fed Square for a two-day showcase of Victoria's finest producers. Pana Chocolate will be on hand with their finest raw, organic, handmade chocolates, while Rustica Sourdough and The Natural Pasta House will be keeping us gloriously carbed-up with fresh, crusty loaves and handmade pasta on the go. 'What about the drinks?' I hear you cry. Thirsty readers need not fret, Yabby Lake and Bass & Flinders from the Mornington Peninsula will be in attendance, as will our favourite cider-making pals from Coldstream Brewery. Head in today or tomorrow to fill your pantry and stock your cellar.

Join Melbourne artists Peaches+Keen for a Brewdog beer to celebrate the opening of Botanical Calamity at Modern Times in Fitzroy. Running up until the 3rd of April, Botanical Calamity is a series of original paintings based on arrangements of plant-life collected on the daily wanderings of the fluoro duo. We've taken a sneak peak at the works and, trust us, they're pretty unreal. Art lovers, this one's a goodie!

Northside foodies, get excited! Smith & Daughters, Melbourne's freshest new restaurant, is opening its Brunswick Street doors this Friday night! Award-winning chef Shannon Martinez (who's worked everywhere from The Gasometer Hotel to The Sweetwater Inn), alongside her savvy business partner Mo Wyse, has crafted an inspiring vegan menu that puts a new (ethical) twist on old Latino favourites. We've already chatted to the lovely Shannon and Mo about their hip new joint and, trust us, it's going to take the Fitzroy food scene by storm. Run, don't walk.

The night will commence with a Hemmingway Daiquiri (why of course!) and end on a sweet, slightly smoky note with a Crema de Vie cocktail matched with smoked meringue, peaches and burnt caramel. Not to be missed!

Folks, this is your last chance to see top-level polo played this season! Victoria's best teams will go pony-to-pony in three exciting games at the Werribee Mansion Polo this Saturday. Spend the afternoon partying with friends at The Polo Club marquee, where you'll enjoy delicious food and beverages, a plethora of DJs and live artists on rotation and prime-position event viewing…not to mention a corn-on-the-cob eating competition (yes, you read that right!)

Challenging the toughest of the tough, Tough Mudder is back in Phillip Island and muddier than ever! Make your way through the 20K obstacle course, down a triumphant ale at the finish line and celebrate your survival at the Tough Mudder post-party, where you can swap stories of your Mudding experiences while re-hydrating (vodka and Gatorade, anyone?). While those heading to the mud this Saturday (or Sunday) have probably been training for months, us slowcoaches still have the chance to sign up, with registration closing on Friday! Daily walks to the bakery count as training, right?

This Sunday, FilmNeverDie is leading photographers young and old on a 'Polaroid Walk' around Melbourne. Starting at midday outside the 7/11 at Federation Square, you'll meet your two photography guides and spend the day wandering the city streets, snapping to your heart's content. At the end of the day, the group will vote for the best Polaroid shot, while those who shoot on not-so-instant film can enter the competition once their exposures have been developed. It's a great way to see a different side of Melbourne, all the while stretching your artistic muscle and meeting like-minded snappers.
