Is it just me, or has this week draaggggedd on and on? Fret not, party people! The weekend's almost here and we've got the ultimate guide to what's happening around Melbourne. With everything from restaurants and bar openings, to burlesque revues and comedy shows, to a boot-scootin' Southern BBQ, we've got your weekend covered! Don't know where to start? THURSDAY 27TH MARCH

Famed chef Patrizia Simone (Simone's Restaurant) is tonight's special guest chef at Enoteca Sileno, promising a magical evening of Umbrian food and wine. Together with Enoteca's Head Chef, Antony Campbell, Patrizia will be cooking a special four-course menu featuring dishes from her celebrated cookbook, My Umbrian Kitchen.

Folks, get out your pens, this one's going in the calendar! Next Thursday (3rd April) you'll be heading to the grand opening of New Gold Mountain's pop-up series to sip champagne cocktails (made with Perrier Jouet, ooh la la!) and sample delicious blintzes made by ex-Rice Queen head chef Jabil Mchawala. What scrumptious bites can you expect next Thursday? Think orange and sumac cured salmon, pickled shallots and crème fraiche, and sweet and sour beetroots with orange, dill and crème fraiche…yummo! The Melbourne International Comedy Festival kicked off yesterday, so it's time to get your booty into gear and check out one of the many hilarious shows on offer! The festival features an enormous program of stand-up comedy, cabaret, theatre, street performance, film, television, radio and visual arts, with over 450 Australian and international acts sure to tickle a funny bone or two. FRIDAY 28TH MARCH

Madames et monsieurs, it's time to get le excited! Le Grand Cirque, Manu Feildel's first Melbourne restaurant (in partnership with MAdE Establishment), is opening this Friday in South Yarra. Residing where Mama Baba once stood, Le Grand Cirque offers Manu's brilliant French cuisine in circus-themed surrounds. Trust us, you're never going to want to leave Manu's maison. Bon appetite!

Bánh mì devotees, listen up! Ba'get, a food store devoted to the humble Vietnamese roll, is opening its Russell Street doors this Friday! Owner Duy Huynh comes from a long line of traditional bánh mì vendors, with his parents having owned and operated the renowned Sunshine's Fresh Chilli Deli for over 25 years. Along with their glorious bánh mì rolls, they also offer vermicelli bowls, hot and flaky pork puffs and Vietnamese sesame donuts, as well as potent quantities of traditional Vietnamese coffee stained with condensed milk. Take your Friday night drinks to a new level of cool at the opening of Ms Collins, Melbourne's latest restaurant/bar/nightclub/events venue that fuses food, fashion, art and music. SATURDAY 29TH MARCH

More than 80 artists will take to the streets of the Chapel Street Precinct as part of ART-Town this Saturday and Sunday. Spend a day wandering through the ART-Town live art hubs – Chapel Street South Yarra, Prahran and Windsor, Greville Village and Gardens, and Chapel off Chapel forecourt and surrounds – to catch the artists and watch the creative process unfold. If you miss out on the artistic happening this weekend, make sure you catch their second session next weekend!

Prepare to be teased and titillated at Salon Boudoir, a new monthly burlesque and cabaret revue at Collingwood's Agent 284. Presented by Dolores Daiquiri, Australia's Classic Tease Queen, you can expect a decadent showcase of classic burlesque, comedic antics, chorus girls, songstresses and cabaret. Luckily enough, Salon Boudoir is a monthly affair, and you can experience all the frills and fancy next month too!

This weekend, Joe's Bar and Dining Hall is hosting two epic days of brisket, beers and bourbon with their Taste Of The South event. The St Kilda institution is taking their cue from the deep South and serving up a bunch of new, mouth-watering Americana meals – think gumbo, fried chicken, chilli con carne and po boys galore. With a shiny new smoker named 'Betty' in the beer garden, it's allllll about the brisket and ribs at Joe's. Spend your Saturday in the beer garden with Betty, a plate of sticky ribs and a cold beer in hand. Isn't this how all weekends are meant to be?

SUNDAY 30TH MARCH

The Vintage Shed will be bringing their amazing old school haul to the Queen Victoria Market this Sunday! Stallholders will be mixing the old with the new, with a wide range of antiques, knick-knacks, retro pieces, reproductions, hand-created and pre-loved furniture, clothes and kitchenware up for grabs. Fancy some vintage threads? The Vintage Emporium girls will also be bringing vintage clothing and accessories for men, women and children, with 1940's through 1980's in stock, plus some select pre-loved designer apparel. Missed out? Fashion-lovers need not fret, it's running every Sunday through April.
