Hot yoga has been a thing in Auckland for quite some time, but now things are about to step up a notch with the arrival of RISE Hot Yoga & Pilates.
This Parnell studio is set to open its doors on May 6th. With high ceilings and a serene interior, it will be the perfect way to stretch and tone your body. The studio is heated to 27-30 degrees with a fresh air cooling system to keep things dry and comfortable. Passing out wouldn’t be good for anyone.
Why the heated obsession? It turns out that by practising yoga and mat Pilates in a warm environment, the body can move more freely, blood flow is increased and it helps shift your focus inwards.
Founded by Alexandra Stafford, RISE Hot Yoga & Pilates aims to be a place to have some time out amongst busy days.
“I’ve created a space that not only compliments both yoga and Pilates, but also honours the members,” she says. “It takes a lot of effort to make time in your day for yourself and I wanted to create a studio that helps make it a little easier to commit to doing you.”
With 31 classes each week and 32 spaces available, you might find that this is one place you can actually get into.
Still not sure about it? Why not give it a taster at their FREE weekend of hot yoga and Pilates classes? But register quickly, because we’re guessing this is one weekend that will fill up quick smart.
