Let’s Thursday Like We Friday is back, baby, and it’s here until 31 May. Over 50 venues across the city have banded together with a whole lot of penny-pinching deals to ease your woes.
We all know you want to curl up in a ball on your couch watching Netflix come Friday afternoon, so start your weekend early and take advantage of these delicious food and drink deals while they’re available in the city on Thursdays.
Two espresso martinis is always better than one, agreed? Bobeche know this all too well which is why they’re offering exactly that for $35 in their Compare The Pair deal every Thursday night. You’ll get to see how their classic espresso martini measures up to their chocolate and vanilla ice cream espresso martini (we think we know which will win).
The Flour Factory
Like gin and cupcakes? Well, your world is about to explode courtesy of The Flour Factory. During Let’s Thursday Like We Friday our favourite bartenders at TFF will be whipping up a gin and tonica cupcake. Yes, dreams really do come true. This $12 pink infused gin and tonic beauty is topped with a mini G&T cupcake, cute!
Summer might be over, but the Aperol Spritz’ will still be flowing at Frank, the new casual Italian bar at the Art Gallery of Western Australia. For a limited time, theirs will be going for $10 a pop, so call your friends and get there, stat. (We hear the house-made gnocchi is good too!)
Frisk. Small Bar
This month $20 will score you a gin tasting plate on Thursday nights at Frisk. in Northbridge. Think citrus, savoury and sweet, all accompanied with matching garnishes and your choice of Fever Tree tonic. The only thing that could make this better is a serve of their grilled halloumi with apricot jam.
We know a good Italian when we see one and No Mafia is just that and more. They’re serving $10 Aperol Spritz and $10 Negronis on Thursdays from now until 31 May. Head down between 4pm and 6pm and they’re yours!
Prepare yourselves, we’re about to let you in on one of the best deals of all time. The legends from The George are serving up #plattergoals every Thursday until the end of May. For $30 you’ll get bite-sized sticky sriracha chicken wings, chorizo, charred octopus, crispy pork belly, bread, olives, nuts AND a jar of red, white or rosé sangria for $45. Is this real life?!
Varnish On King
Get ready to have a coronary! Varnish On King has whipped up a burger of epic proportions for Let’s Thursday Like We Friday. It’s called The General Lee and it features two succulent beef patties, two lots of melted cheese, smoky peppered bacon and spicy honey sauce sandwiched between two glazed donuts. And because that apparently wasn’t enough, it’s topped with more onion rings than necessary and served with dirty sweet potato fries. It costs $26 and it’s completely worth it (and the heart attack that will surely follow).
Alfred’s Pizzeria. Small Bar
If you haven’t managed to find your way to Alfred’s Pizzeria. Small Bar yet, now’s your chance! They’re offering up two slices of pizza with your choice of Colonial Small ale, Colonial Bertie apple cider or a glass of Sum red or white wine for ten buckaroos. One bite of their pizza and you’ll be handing over another $10 for round two.
Forget Tuesdays, Thursday nights are taco night at Baby Mammoth. They’re serving $6 tacos, $6 craft beers and $6 wines all night and the menu will be changing up weekly. We can’t tell you exactly the flavours you’ll be in for, but we do know they’ll be unconventional and served in hand-pressed tortillas.
A mainstay of the William Street strip in Northbridge, Bivouac will be giving a nod to its old favourites each Thursday. You’ll get to wrap your lips around goodies like their chocolate lamb ribs with pomegranate and hemp seeds (for $12) and their house white, red and tinnies (for $6). Nice work guys!
We love ourselves a beer tasting session, especially when we don’t have to travel too far. Bob’s Bar knows this and they’re serving a paddle of great WA brews for $15. All that with a side of CBD rooftop views? We’re in heaven!
The fellas at Cheeky Sparrow are offering up some killer drink deals every Thursday until the end of May. From 4pm to 6pm each Thursday you can get $8 Feral Perth Local stubbies, $8 Somersby apple ciders and $7 pinot noir and pinot grigio. AND if you spend more than $20 on drinks (easy) you can add a pizza to your order for $10. Cheeky indeed!
Fromage Artisans must have gone crazy because they’re offering Mr Bitter’s honeyed apricot and smoky hickory old fashioned with a chocolate and espresso cheese board for you and a friend all for $30.
Holey Moley Golf Club
If you’re lacking fun in your life head to Holey Moley the next Thursday you’re free. The Caddyshack bar is serving up $10 espresso martinis on tap and $10 mini golf rounds (9 holes). Gather up your mates and get ready to putt along to the best 90s and noughties tunes, and be sure to grab a cheesy stone-baked pizza after.
Hidden among the rooftops of Northbridge, Mechanics Institute will be serving their ruckus juice for $10 a pop each Thursday. Grab a Flipside Burger and welcome the weekend a day early!
Northbridge Brewing Co.
Grab Northbridge Brewing Co.’s steak, chips and house brew for just $17. Choose between their rump or eye fillet and grab a seat outdoors while the evenings are still mild.
A succulent beef burger with a pint or glass of wine sounds like the best work lunch ever, right?! Well, you’ll get that AND some delicious chips for $20 at Pica Bar until the end of May. A deal so good you’ll probably come back for dinner as well!
When we heard Prince Lane was dishing out a chicken parmigiana pizza we were there. But now they’re serving this signature dish with an ice cold pint for $20. On top of that, you’ll get to enjoy an extra long happy hour with selected pints going for $8 all day. You’ll be primed for some rooftop karaoke in no time.
You can always trust The Aviary to come up with a steal of a deal. Each Thursday they will be offering a new taco selection featuring sticky BBQ brisket and jalapeno; and crispy barramundi and jungle curry. Each can be paired with $5 schooners, $6 wines, $7 spirits or $8 espresso martinis. Love!
The Court Hotel
Let us set the scene for the ultimate Thursday night with your mates: a 300-gram rump steak with your choice of chips or mash, plus a middy of beer or glass of wine for just $15. Spice up your Thursday with The Standard’s Asian-style bloody mary deal.
