Get set for the whinny of pompous ponies and the explosive bursts of champagne corks—Polo In the Valley is back in Perth for its seventh year and we are hoarse with excitement!
Held at Duncraig Stud in the Swan Vally on April 3, guests will be treated to some of the best polo talent from Australia and overseas, as well as an incredible day of fashion, food and entertainment.
Tickets are selling fast so whether you’re a seasoned polo attendee or just keen to get up and close personal with the players, we can’t think of a better way to enjoy some Autumnal Perth sunshine.
Here are 7 amazing reasons we reckon you should get a ticket stat!
1. The Food!
Well duh, obviously we were going to start with food, glorious, food! Well known Aussie chef Guy Grossi has created a delicious menu for guests of the VIP Marquee using seasonal produce and local producers. In the Maison Mumm Marquee, a bar and alfresco area will serve Mumm champagne, as well as food offerings from Cocktail Gastronomy—the crew behind Lucky Chans and The Classroom.
2. The Fashuuuuuuun
Adam Heath Boutique will present the latest national and international designer autumn/winter fashions on the runway at halftime, plus you can be in the running to win best dressed lady or best dressed gentleman. This year’s winners will take home a custom made white and pink Argyle diamond horseshoe pendant necklace by Rohan Jewellery and a $1000 gift certificate from MJ BALE.
3. You Get To Mingle With The Players
A chance to meet handsome polo players who mingle in the marquees when they’re not competing? Why yes please! Keep your eyes peeled for Juan Cruz Losada who is jetting in from Argentina to compete.
4. Your Can Have Your Own Pretty Woman Moment
Channel Julia Roberts In Pretty Woman by participating in the divot stomps or even try your hand at The Dash if you’re feeling competitive.
5. Ummm...Daryl?
Daryl Braithwaite will perform his hit Horses—don't pretend you're not going to belt that one out loud and proud—along with some other tunes, while the Maison Mumm Marquee is flying in New Zealand DJ's Sweet Mix Kids to play. These DJ's have performed at some of the world’s most famous party festivals and clubs including Coachella, Wanderlust and Rhythm & Vines and supported Australian and international acts such as Flume, Kimbra, Empire of the Sun and Hilltop Hoods so you know they're gonna be goooood.
6. The Pampering
Guests of the VIP, Maison Mumm and Telethon Adventurers Marquee can sip champagne while enjoying makeup and hair touch-ups in the luxurious Alison Jade Pamper Marquee. Lah-di-dah!
7. It's For A Good Cause
Funds raised from the event go to WA charity Youth Focus, who support young people in need and at risk of suicide, as well as Telethon. By purchasing a ticket, you are already helping to make a difference, but you can also enter the raffle on the day and go in the draw to win two return business class flights to any destination that Qatar Airways flies to from Perth.
