With spectacular views of the ocean and a deck perfect for sun-drenched (and wine-drenched) afternoons, Perth’s newest beachside eatery Odyssea opens on Friday.
Combining a restaurant, deck area and kiosk, Odyssea is the first of three venues to open as a part of the $18 million City Beach beachfront development. The gorgeous 300-seat eatery will soon be accompanied by two other restaurants—Hamptons City Beach and Rise Pizzeria.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Odyssea executive chef Alan Spagnolo will focus on local, seasonal produce in a modern Australian style that’s light, fresh and healthy. Co-owner Fabio Hupfer said Perth foodies can expect quality beachside dining with a twist.
“Whilst we offer a selection of top-quality seafood, there’s some items on the menu you may not expect to find, from Korean spiced BBQ Linley Valley pork belly, cucumber kimchi and blood plums to roasted bone marrow, shallot caper and parsley salad with charred sourdough. We pride ourselves on making everything in-house, including specialty cakes and desserts. The only exception is the bread,” he said.
The menu will be complemented by a sophisticated wine list, which celebrates some of WA’s finest producers.
Owners Eleanor & Fabio Hupfer are well-known in the Perth hospitality scene having run Hubbles Yard Cafe in East Fremantle and Metrio & Co Cafe in North Perth.
Get excited, guys—Odyssea is coming and it’s going to be gooooood.
