Just when you thought that Leederville couldn’t possibly get any cooler, the Oxford and Newcastle corner of this busy little hive is about to knock your woolly socks off!
That’s right—Pinchos, the teeny tiny Spanish haunt, is expanding into the corner shop next door to create Perth’s first legit tapas bar—Pinchos Bar De Tapas. But wait there’s SO much more!
Owner, Justin Bell, has told us Pinchos will transform into a corner-store-meets-eatery and will be dishing out delicious Spanish delicacies from breakfast to bedtime. So you’ll be able to pop in from 7:30am for coffee and brekky treats like stuffed piquillos or morcilla (blood sausage) with eggs and fried potatoes, before returning at 5:30pm for Pinxtos hour on the bar where you will be able to devour $1 pintxos and a ponies of Estrella Damm for just $3.50 a pop (during happy hour). You might as well just move in and call it a day.
Happy hour will run from 5pm to 6pm every day and the legends will be serving wine, vermouths, cocktails, sherry and cava in true Spanish style—they’ll also have a whole bunch of beers on tap.
Pinchos lunches are already a hit and their tasty Spanish lunch boxes, sambos, salads and soups will be available dine-in or takeaway (you’ll even be able to pre-order—good news for the hard workers of Leederville), all at European prices. And if that’s not enough, Pinchos a la carte dinner menu will be expanding and the wine menu will see tasty drops from Spain, and Portugal added in to the mix.
Pinchos Bar Del Tapas is set to open in early July, but in the meantime you can still pop in to Pinchos to get your Spanish fix!
