Queens, in case you missed the memo: RuPaul’s Drag Race is back! Brace yourself for outrageous dresses, sky-scraping wigs and the all-important thigh-high boots. Yass bitch come through!
Brought to you exclusively by Stan, the glam-filled reality show is now in its 10th (!) season. You’ll be in stitches as the 14 queens (men decked out in false lashes and ALL the sequins, ICYMI) battle it out for the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar”.
Of course, the challenges are more fabulous than your average game show. Think: lip-synching Cher classics and nailing Lady Gaga impersonations. And yep, you can expect a decent dose of diva meltdowns, shade, and high heel catastrophes along the way.
The meme-generating show is hosted by RuPaul who has been the face of drag for more than 20 years. Ru originally launched the show as a parody of America’s Next Top Model. Since then, it’s gone from strength-to-strength (or should we say glam-to-glam?) by winning not one but two Emmy awards.
Each episode, the contestants are judged on their “charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent” by RuPaul alongside Michelle Visage, Ross Mathews and Carson Kressley (yes, from the OG Queer Eye). They’re joined by celeb guest judges including the likes of Khloe Kardashian, Gigi Hadid, Demi Lovato and Pamela Anderson. Star-studded panel, amiright?
What will season 10 bring? Double eliminations? Queens being kicked off the show? Terribly unblended make-up?! Tune into Stan’s premiere on March 23 to find out!
In the words of RuPaul herself: good luck and don’t f*** it up. May the best woman win!
