For all those super-duper keen peeps that have already checked out everything there is to see at Fringe World, we’ve got some sweet side events this weekend for you to check out.

There is plenty of food, drink, music and epic chills. Here’s what’s on this weekend in Perth.

Friday 29 January

FOOD CIRCUS | CLAREMONT

If you’re after a weird, wacky and wonderful time surrounded by food and circus games, then the Food Circus is the place for you. We’re talking about Perth’s fave food trucks, stalls full of yummies, classic side show alley games and so much old school fun. This will be the third time that Food Circus has come to us and it just keeps getting better and better! What better way to kick off your weekend than by eating your own body weight in goodies.

ELIZABETH QUAY OPENING NIGHT | PERTH

There has been a lot of cranes, concrete, high-vis and tradies down at Elizabeth Quay over the past few years, but we can now celebrate that this great addition to P-town is finally finished! There will be three opening nights to welcome everyone to Elizabeth Quay with a weekend filled with carnival fun. There will be an awesome laser light show each night at 8pm along with some major food trucks and stalls ready to fill your bellies. Fringe World will also be holding some shows down there so make sure you check it out.

SUBI ARTS & EATS | SUBIACO

Get rid of those working week feels by popping down to Subi to enjoy some of Perth's finest. This awesome eating tour (honestly, what could sound better?!) will start at a gallery before continuing on to four Subiaco venues where you will get to enjoy plenty of yummy food and bevvies. Along the way you will also get an opportunity to learn about the rich history of Subi and view some art. Bring your appetite!

We're Not Dead Yet | Fremantle

If you're looking to get a little cultured this weekend check out the exhibition opening of We're Not Dead Yet at the Moores Art Building in Fremantle. Kicking off from 6pm, the exhibition explores the dynamics of gender and age in a large-scale visual art exhibition. If you're keen to hear from the artists, they'll be talking about their works between 1pm and 2pm on Saturday.

Signs Of Life Exhibition Opening | Perth

Art and toasted sangas come together at the Signs Of Life Exhibition Opening this Friday night in Grand Lane, Perth. The first of three exhibitions to come in Grand Lane this year, Signs Of Life explores how we form ideas about ourselves. Toastface Grillah will be serving their delish toasties and DJs will keep your ears happy as you admire the works.

SUNSET WINE | SCARBOROUGH

Sunset Wine in Scarborough this weekend sounds like the perfect lazy Sunday afternoon ever. You’ll be treated to some wine by the glass along with delish tapas and chilled out entertainment. You’ll also have the opportunity to buy wine by the bottle or simply enjoy a tasting!

THE HEEBIEJEEBIES | PERTH

Our pals at The Bird always dish up quality tunes and provide the goods when it comes to sourcing epic bands for our enjoyment and this weekend is no exception. The five-piece band known as the Heebiejeebies guarantee a good time. We're there.

January Pop-Up Mega Market

If arts and crafts markets are your bag you're going to want to head to the January Pop-Up Mega Market this Sunday morning in Palmyra. The Pop-Up Mega Markets run on the last weekend of every month, so if you can't make it this time make sure you pencil it in your diary for Feb!

SUMMER CONCERT | PERTH

This summer concert held in Hyde Park is the perfect opportunity for you to wrap up your weekend. Take the fam, boyf/girlf or bestie, pack a picnic or enjoy the multiple food trucks on offer and just chill! To kick things off they’ve got the smooth R&B/rock ‘n’ roll vibes that are Bang Bang Betty and The H Bombs. Oh yeeeaaaahhhhh.
