Anyone that's been following us here at The Urban List for a while probably knows we've been just a little bit obsessed with Tiger Bao since it opened in Northbridge last year. So it's with a heavy heart (and a stomach full of bao) that we're telling you the shutters on their stall at the Shanghai Markets will be rolled down for the very last time this Saturday 30 June—meaning you'll want to head in for a feed or five this week.
If you haven't treated yourself to the full Tiger Bao experience yet, please stop what you're doing right now, get yourself there and order at least one of each bao, a cheese-baoger and their insanely delicious sweet potato fries.
Once you're done eating your feelings, you can get excited again, because we've got some more BIG news.
ICYMI, Tiger Bao is owned by the same legends behind Hoodburger (aka some of the most incredibly delicious and juicy burgers in Perth), and guess what? Hoodburger will be opening in that same spot in just a matter of days! Yes, burgers in the Shanghai Markets—it's controversial, but we're ok with it if it means we can get our hands on those cheeseburgers whenever we please.
The burger pop up has been doing the rounds for the past couple of years, so they're gosh darn excited to have their first permanent home where they'll be rolling out their full menu for the first time—now you know what all the test kitchens they hosted earlier this year were about!
Opening weekend will be Friday 6 to Sunday 8 July, so watch this space for all the deets—we're keeping our fingers crossed for some burger deals!
