Some people get home from a hard day at the office and crack open a bottle of wine to ease the pain… we crack open a wheel of cheese and tell ourselves we won't eat the whole thing. Which is a lie.
If you’re too lazy and not creative enough to put together an Insta-worthy platter at home, check out these spots in Perth that do a top-notch cheese board.
Lot20
Perth
Lot20 do a DIY style cheese platter ft. cow’s milk and sheep’s milk cheeses alongside fresh bread and crostini. Pick any three cheeses to go on your platter, grab a bottle of wine and enjoy!
Petition Wine Bar & Merchant
Perth
With cheeses from France, Australia, Italy, England and Spain, we think that the guys and gals at Petition Wine Bar are the cheese pros. The cheese menu (yes, there is a whole menu just for cheese) gives you a name, origin, type of milk, texture, maturity and flavour description of each. Omg.
Bar De Halcyon
Perth
If you’re not fluent in Spanish, the cheese platter at Bar De Halcyon—or ‘Tabla De Quesos’—is a selection of their finest Spanish cheeses and nibbles. Definitely check out this place if you’re after something a little bit different.
The Trustee
Perth
Our humble pals at The Trustee smash out their cheese boards like there’s no tomorrow. Cheese options are constantly changing at this place but you’ll receive a three-cheese assortment, candied nuts, pear paste and endless amounts of lavosh bread.
Lalla Rookh
Perth
Put on your fancy stretchy pants one afternoon and head down to Lalla Rookh for an Italian array of cheeses, honeycomb and carta di musica—aka the most delicious Italian flatbread you’ll ever have.
Must Winebar
Highgate
On of the best restaurants in Perth, Must Wine Bar give you the choice of a two or three cheese option (obviously we choose three) from Australia and overseas. All boards come with pear paste, pistachio crackers and a sourdough baguette. The guys here will even recommend a perfect wine to pair it with. YUMMMM.
The Flour Factory
Perth
The guys at The Flour Factory have the share plates down to a tee and we can’t fault their board of cheesy goodness. They don’t reveal anything on the menu so just ask your server what they’ve got in stock and leave it to the pros to decide for you!
Juanita’s
Subiaco
For maximum happiness levels, grab the large cheese platter from Juanita’s…it will have you wondering why you have settled for ordinary cheese your whole life. This one is the package deal and comes with chorizo and olives too! Winning.
Bad Apples Bar
Applecross
You know that when you read a cheese menu and it’s not in English then you’ve struck gold right? Well the humble ol’ Bad Apples Bar in Applecross have nailed the international cheese game. All confusing options come with quince paste, lavosh and dried fruit.
The Globe

You’ll find the cheese platter at The Globe on the dessert menu but feel free to order it before your meal too. The three mysterious cheeses (they pick for you) are accompanied by carrot jam and lavosh bread. Delish!

At Pinchos Tapas Bar you have the freedom to choose a few individual cheeses and sides or you can let the Spanish enthusiasts choose for you by ordering the three cheese tasting plate. So many options!
