We asked, and by gosh, did you answer! We’ve done the hard yards toiling through a whopping 1,000+ votes to unearth the best personal trainers on the Sunshine Coast, as voted by you.
Now, let it be known we stopped at 10, but there were a ton of other hard-working PTs that got full props from their clients; so, it’s safe to say us fitness-lovin’ Coasties are in very dedicated hands. If your fave didn’t make the cut, don’t forget to give them a solid high five for sticking by as you bitch and moan your way to optimal health and sexiness.
If, like us, you’ve been feasting on too many burgers and cocktails, and are in the market for a new PT, read on to see who The Urban List readers voted among the best personal trainers on the Sunshine Coast.
Drum roll… in no particular order… here they are:
David Stewart | The Summit Fitness Studio
Transform your worn-out body into a strong and healthy one with The Summit's David Stewart, one of the best personal trainers on the Sunshine Coast as voted by you. Offering one-on-one sessions in his kitted out studio in Buderim, fans of Dave say he’s pulled them through injury, changed their outlook on exercise and has an eagle eye for proper technique. There’s even whispers clients get to pick their own Spotify playlist and sweat sessions are finished with a protein shake. You’ve sold us, peeps!
Paul Hooper | Paul’s Body Engineering
If bodybuilding is your jam, Paul of Paul’s Body Engineering is the real deal. Nabbing a deserving spot among the best personal trainers on the Sunshine Coast, this fitness fanatic works clients into shape from his perch at Ezyfit Health & Fitness Club. Not into the whole bodybuilding world? No probs! Paul creates tailored programs to turn whatever health goals you want to kick, into a reality.
Melinda Bingley | MAB Personal Training
For the second year running, Melinda Bingley from MAB Personal Training has swept in to our shortlist of the best personal trainers on the Sunshine Coast, so she must be doing something (or everything) very right. With a laser focus on making workouts FUN (cue confetti), Mel holds a mix of private studio sessions and group outdoor sessions. To top it all off, it’s not out of the ordinary for clients to go on epic Sunny Coast adventures, like a full moon climb up Mount Coolum, complete with meditation at the top. Where do we sign up?
Chris Nelson | Anytime Fitness
Passion is the one thing that can’t be faked, thankfully Chris Nelson has it in bucket loads and you lot gave him lashings of votes for being the best personal trainer on the Sunshine Coast. Words that got thrown into the mix, alongside Chris’s name were: encouraging, gets results, motivating and dedicated. Based out of Anytime Fitness in Currimundi, if you’re looking for someone to whip your bod into shape in time for summer, the search stops here.
Jodi Comen | Jodi Barre Yoga
Marcoola & Maroochydore
Before you get your knickers in a twist saying this is a list of the best personal trainers on the Sunshine Coast, not Barre teachers, we’re going to stop you right there. Why? Because we’re not going to argue with handfuls and handfuls and handfuls of votes for Jodi Comen, when her clients are bursting to share her awesomeness with the rest of us. Jodi works out of studios in Maroochydore and Mudjimba, and her Barre classes fuse together Pilates, ballet Barre, meditation and Vinyasa yoga to create a deep toning session your booty will thank you for. Want in? Scoop up the current intro offer of $40 for two weeks of unlimited classes.
Naomi Glover | Anytime Fitness
We haven’t met her IRL, but it’s pretty obvious Anytime Fitness's Naomi Glover is way more than just a personal trainer to her clients. Along with a genuine desire to help people improve their lifestyle and hit their fitness goals, you lovely lot said Naomi has a heart of gold, is a role model, a great listener and makes you believe in yourself. Nawwww! This gal also happens to be the queen of getting a pert derrière, so if you want to say sayonara to 2017 with buns of steel, check out her Booty Building classes.
Ryan O’Neil | Ufit Australia
Caloundra has its fair share of group training offerings, but you guys have a real soft spot (or maybe it’s hard from all those crunches) for Ufit Australia and its main man, Ryan O’Neil. With over 25 sessions a week, ranging from 30 minutes to one hour, and free (FREEEE!) child-minding, this get-fit hub does a pretty good job of kickin’ those “I don’t have time to exercise” excuses to the curb for you. From beach boot camps and adventure to weekends, to 30-day and six week challenges, if you’re serious about getting rid of your couch potato status, Ryan is your go-to.
Kate Davidson | EFM Health Club Noosaville
Holding down the fort at one of the best gyms on the Sunshine Coast, EFM Noosaville’s owner and fitness coach, Kate Davidson has garnered quite the loyal following for her dedication to health, personal one-on-one approach, and for creating a super-friendly environment for peeps to break a sweat. So much so, this is the second year in a row she’s been voted in as one of the best personal trainers on the Sunshine Coast. Woot! We’re particularly loving the cheersquading that goes on at this place. You hit goals, and everyone will be celebrating with you.
Amber Morgan-Varlow | Pure Amber
For one-on-one personal training that comes to you, we’ve just trawled through tonnes of votes for Amber Morgan-Varlow. Specialising in tailored programs and helping many of her clients overcome injury, you know you’re in safe hands (and likely to lose those pesky extra kilograms) when working out with this kickass woman.
Nick Mitchell | Ezyfit
Nick Mitchell, affectionately known as Schnitty, is responsible for pushing his PT clients to the limit every session—in a good way, of course. In fact, his motto is “success starts outside of your comfort zone”. With a strong focus on making sure exercises are completed correctly, which ultimately means faster results for YOU, Schnitty is praised for his affordability, ability to make anyone overcome mental and physical blocks that stand between them and their fitness goals, and for keeping workouts fun and fresh.
