The Sunshine Coast is literally bursting with workshops, events, and crafty learning sessions designed to unleash a brighter, happier, and more productive you.

So, there’s simply no excuse for letting the wheels spin on your professional and creative life. To help you on your “new season, new you” mission, we’ve rounded up some of our fave workshops on the Sunshine Coast happening this autumn. Happy creating, folks!

Botanical Watercolour Workshop With Cass Dellar

Funny thing is, you probably already recognise Cass Dellar’s work, even if you don’t know she’s the one behind it. Her watercolour stationary, prints, invitations and more, have been floating around the interwebs for as long as we can remember, and now she’s offering to teach YOU how to make similar creations. Over two and a half hours, Cass will run through the basics of watercolour—colour theory, materials, techniques—and work with you as you create your very own tropical masterpiece. There’ll be bubbly on arrival to help relax those creativity muscles plus, along with your finished artwork, you’ll take home a watercolour kit. The next workshop is on April 1, so book your spot here, stat.

Make Your Own Flower Crowns And Wreaths

Emily from The Posy Co. is your go-to gal for all things floral. Beyond her daily duties of delivering cute-as-a-button posies to lucky peeps across the Coast, she also hosts flower workshops that you really should sign up to. Coming up this autumn, are a flower crown workshop on March 19 and then, an Easter wreath-making class on April 9. They’ll supply the goods, the knowledge, and the champagne—and you, my friend, just need to turn up and be ready to get crafty!

Barista Basics At First Batch

Fancy yourself a bit of a coffee connoisseur, but have never taken it further than sipping on a cup of joe? The Coffee Training Co. can change that. Over three and a half hours, you’ll learn about where the beans come from and how they’re roasted, before getting to the fun stuff of nailing the art of silky milk and perfecting free pours. This is for anyone with a desire to delve deeper into their morning brew. And yep, you’ll get to taste a whole heap of coffee too—winning!

Introduction To Pottery With Renton Bishopric

Is it everyone’s dream to sit with clay and just make stuff all day long? Or is that just us? Having no idea where to start, Renton Bishopric’s new beginner hands-on pottery workshop is right up our alley. Over four weeks, you’ll learn the ins and outs of clay, firing, and making all things beautiful. Held on Thursday nights (so you working folk have no excuses!), if you finish it and fall in love with pottery, there’s a 10-week follow-up program also on offer. Autumn dates cover April 20 and 27, and May 4 and 11.

The Cooking School Noosa

Put simply, any class you do at The Cooking School Noosa is going to make you a way better cook than you were before you set foot inside. From contemporary Japanese to French, to a class centred around regional produce, this is arguably the best cooking school in Noosa, if not the Sunshine Coast. Open to all levels of home cooks, chefs, and people like us, who are pretty clueless in the kitchen, you’d be crazy to let the price tags scare you—because they’re totes worth every penny. The Cooking School’s calendar is brimming with dates for March, April, and May, so hop on over and up your culinary skills.
