So you’ve had a bit of a late one…

And you’re stumbling ‘round the house in fluffy slippers, giggling at random flash-backs from the night before… when suddenly, you hear a deep, stirring rumble (followed by a sneaky wave of nausea).

And we all know, that the only way to tame the beast is to shed the slippers (preferably teamed up with shower and good teeth-brushing) and head over to your favourite brunch spot on the Sunshine Coast. Here, you will line the stomach with a good dose of grease and regain sight with a strong cup of quality coffee.

Not sure where to go? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with a full list of the tastiest cafes to get your brunchin’ on.

If you head over to Guru Life feeling a little worse for wear, guaranteed you’ll leave looking like Dalai Lama’s doppelganger. The leafy surroundings, chilled music, and all-day breakfasts are just what the Dalai ordered. The most generous option has to be the Sunny Side Up Breakfast Pan with roasted field mushrooms, vine tomatoes, creamed spinach and feta, free range eggs, and a super crunchy potato kofta; all served with toasted Turkish loaf and fruit chutney. Add some bacon to that, and you my friend, are sorted.

The coolest kid on the block, The Velo Project has the best brunching menu on this Mooloolaba street. If you’re not tucking into one of their incredible buckwheat crepes, then you’re being spoilt for choice in the eggs and bacon department. One of our faves has to be the Velo Salsa which will have your plate dancing with wilted spinach, roasted tomatoes, avocado, poached eggs, and whipped marinated feta, served on toasted ciabatta and drizzled with lemon olive oil. Hell yeah.

Walking into Bistro C is like a big breath of fresh air. (Well, that’s until you arrived with your boozy breath from last night—seriously, did we not emphasise to brush?) With a sleek and laid-back setting, you’ll no doubt just wile the morning away with a leisurely breakfast and then move on to the espresso martinis, because—well, why the hell not? We’d definitely recommend the Corn and Chive Griddle Cake with grilled bacon, baby spinach, avocado salsa, roasted tomatoes, and balsamic syrup. Or the Pulled Pork and Sweet Potato Hash with poached eggs, apple cider and bacon jam, green apple and herb slaw with candied chilli. Oh yes we would.

Psst…There’s someone else out there also rocking a knock-out espresso martini. Gainsbourg in Mooloolaba know their cocktails; but more importantly—they know their brunch (because seriously, people—we can’t just live off liquids). Their Eggs Benny Hash is a potato and quinoa hash with smoked ocean trout or leg ham, absinthe buttered kale, two poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce. Delish! Or if you need some sweetening up, their Vanilla Bean Toast is a brûlée brioche with crème anglaise, Canadian maple, strawberry crumble, and seasonal fruit. Yes please!

We all know that you really can’t go wrong with a classic eggs benedict. Mrs Browns Espresso and Bar is going to sort you out with their scrumptious version, which comes with your choice of bacon, smoked salmon, or sautéed mushrooms. If you’re looking to push the brunching through till after lunch, then their all-day haloumi stack or avocado and feta smash are the go-tos. And while you’re there, you may as well throw down one of their craft beers too. Hair of the dog they say!

A quality night needs to be followed up by some quality food the next morning. Beau’s are bringing it with some amazing nosh and killer brunch options. We’re gonna say that one of their most satisfying menu options is the Breakfast Burrito—loaded with nitrate-free bacon, fried free range egg, black beans, cheddar, tomato, coriander salsa, guacamole, and chipotle jam. Ola! Otherwise they also have a delicious avo on toast with pistachio dukkah; or banana pancakes for the sweet tooth!

A long-time favourite with the locals, Bulli is the kinda place where you can keep the sunnies firmly planted on your face, hide behind a juicy mag, and keep the pooch at your side hydrated. If you’re not drooling over their specials board then you’re likely to find their Spanish tortilla with baby spinach, tomato, feta, and sourdough more than adequate. Otherwise, we’d totally go for the Pesto Scrambled Eggs with rocket.

Shotgun Espresso is taking your brunching experience to the next level with their traditional English Bubble and Squeak. Served with pulled corned beef, shredded cabbage, julienne potato and leek, a poached egg, and hollandaise on toasted sourdough. Sure to leave you feeling like a King!
