If you haven’t heard of ‘Parma For A Farmer’, you must've had your head buried in the sand...the dry, arid, never-gets-rain sand that makes up about 90% of Australia.
But that was so last month peeps, ‘cause this month we’ve got a Barefoot Bowls fundraiser happening on the Coast in a bid to help out our drought-stricken farmers. And we think this is one cause that’s worthy of all the support we can give it.
In addition to barefoot bowls there will also be live entertainment and food (read: sausage sizzle!!), so it’s really a fun day out for all to be had, amiright?!
But possibly the best news is there will be prizes on hand for the best dressed farmer on the day. So pull on those flannel shirts and ripped jeans and don that akubra ‘cause it’s time to get ‘farmer-fied’ folks. (BTW, extra points go to the person who sticks a length of straw in their mouth to perfect the look).
What: Barefoot Bowls Fundraiser
Where: Club Kawana, 476 Nicklin Way, Sunshine Coast
When: Sunday 23 September; 1pm till 3.30pm
Cost: $10 per person and this will be donated to the farmers in need.
