Sunshine Coast just got a whole lot tastier with its latest opening, Carve Deli—an American-style eatery dishing up easy-to-eat comfort food that’s cheap, delicious and totally photo-worthy. In short, we’re all over it.
Opening a few short weeks ago, Carve overlooks the village square in Peregian Beach. With plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, we’re already calling it as an awesome place to catch-up with mates without breaking the bank. And you know how much we all love those.
Run by husband and wife team Bonnie and Ash Murn, the menu has been designed around the infamous hoagie—an American sub packed with meat, cheese and all kinds of other fillings. There’s six of them to choose from, and that’s where it gets difficult. From the Philly Cheese Steak loaded with shredded beef brisket, confit onions, peppers, truffle aioli and finished with gooey melted cheddar, to the Fried Chicken Po Boy with fried chicken, housemade kimchi-style slaw and Sriracha mayo, we’ve no doubt you’ll find something that’ll have you drooling way before it lands on the table in front of you.
But the fun doesn’t end there, no siree. There’s moreish bar snacks to go alongside your craft beer like loaded fries, poutine for our Canadian friends, prawn potato skins and toasties, including the very spesh truffled mac ‘n cheese and, the chef’s own personal fave, an avocado, vegemite and American Cheddar toastie. Wow-wee!
Vegans and vegos don’t turn your back just yet. Because Carve has you in their sights, too! There’s a vegan melt hoagie, healthy salads, veggie soups all served with a grilled cheese sandwich, cauliflower wings AKA roasted cauliflower with romesco… the list goes on.
Open six days (closed Wednesdays) from 12pm till late, next time you’re visiting Peregian Beach, stop by and fill up here—your stomach will thank you for it.
