Already planning a summer of cocktails, delicious eats and footloose fun with your mates? Thought so! Well, you’re going to want to know all about the newest spot to open along Mooloolaba Esplanade, then.
It’s time to say a breezy hello to Central Beach Club; the place you’re going to while away the afternoons with a big group of friends over a few too many drinks—All. Summer. Long.
Opening just a few short weeks ago, we’re spreading the news now because the boys just got their liquor license—which means dinner and drinks (with alcohol, duh!) are now a thing. Woot!
Sitting among some of our fave restaurants and eateries—think Dirty Moes, the Fish & Chippery and #Phresh—Central Beach Club has taken over the old Bellissimo space. But, with a complete renovation, the only thing you’ll recognise is the epic location.
Inside, it’s all about the green-lit bar, DJ decks and extreme sports being projected onto one of the walls. Come 10pm, this is where you’ll be gathering to kick on for a couple more hours. Before then, it’s likely you’ll want to take full advantage of this joint’s prime posi from the beach, and pull up a stool at one of their bar tables or totally lax out in the outdoor lounge area—complete with palm trees.
Offering delicious all-day breakfasts like Breakfast In Bread—a Kaiser loaf stuffed with chorizo, bacon, fried egg, tomato relish, mozzarella and pico de galo—and the ultimate big brekkie sanga, complete with two eggs, bacon, Swiss cheese and smashed avo, we’re pretty confident any hangover will be cured here.
For lunch and dinner, you’ll find the kind of food perfect for soaking up that day-drinking evidence with a mix of nachos, burritos, salads, soft shell tacos, pizzas, share plates and bar snacks AKA ‘beer buddies’ all starring on the menu.
But, like any bar worth its weight in tanned, good-looking social peeps, the drinks list is where it’s at. Sip on classics like margaritas, daiquiris and mai tais, or step it up a notch with a two-litre mojito jug (your shout!) and…wait for it…a guzzleable Tim Tam Tiramisu. For those less adventurous, the guys have got you covered with plenty of beer and wine, so don’t freak out.
Open Tuesday to Sunday from 7.30am until late, cancel any plans you had this weekend and go give Central Beach Club a warm welcome to the Sunshine Coast’s wining, dining and partying scene. They’re ready to pour you a drink!
