Grab The Popcorn, This Sunshine Coast Drive-In Cinema Just Dropped Tickets To Its Next Screenings

Rows of cars sit in front of a large outdoor movie screen at a drive-in cinema.

A Sunshine Coast drive-in cinema has just opened to fill that theatre-sized void in your life.

Outdoor movie pros Starry Nights are partnering with one of our favourite country pubs, The Imperial Hotel, to create the ultimate physical distancing solution to catching a flick.

Popping up at Eumundi Showgrounds on Saturday 27 June, the drive-in will be screening a double banger of the Jumanji films—Welcome to The Jungle and The Next Level.

With car numbers limited to just 80—and vehicles to be spaced at least two metres apart—this will be a sell-out, so bookings are essential and at just $25 a car, we can’t think of a cheaper date night.

At this stage, there won’t be meals on site, so prep ahead and either pre-order a feast from The Imperial Hotel (their pizzas are delicious!) or BYO car picnic and drinks.

While we’re hoping these Sunshine Coast drive-in cinema nights stick around, we know not everyone's ready to get back out into the world just yet. So, if you’d prefer to just stick to Netflix, here’s all the new movies to watch.
