Prepare yourselves people, because two epic new foodie markets are coming to the Coast, just in time for the silly season. As if we weren’t excited enough already for afternoon cocktails, Christmas parties, boxing day sales and New Year’s celebrations, along comes two new reasons to get excited for December.
So loosen your belts and get your tote bags ready, because you won’t want to miss out on these new markets heading our way.
First up, the much loved Marcoola Markets are introducing a new farmer’s market to Marcoola, which will be kicking off on Saturday 1 December from 8am till 12pm. These boutique markets will soon become your go-to haunt for organic produce, fresh fruit and veggies, meats, cheese, and other goodies. And yes (because we know you’re wondering) there’ll also be plenty of sweet treats available, including raw and vegan options.
The market already has a three year approval, so you can guarantee it will become a local favourite. It’s set to expand with more and more vendors eventually coming to sell their goods, so get in now while it’s still a secret.
The other new market to hit our shores this holiday season is Laneway Street Food, the newest foodie haven bringing delicious eats to Mooloolaba. Happening every second Thursday (the next one is November 29th), Laneway Street Food offers a range of different vendors selling authentic and delicious cuisines from around the world, as well as live entertainment and good vibes. Open from 5pm to 9pm, it’s the perfect way to while away a balmy summer afternoon.
So get excited people, because summer just got a whole lot yummier. Whether you’re after some fresh produce for your Christmas feast, or just looking for some authentic Japanese food on a Thursday night, the new Marcoola Farmer’s Market and Laneway Street Food are sure to become your new regulars.
