While you’ve been busy keeping to your hood, Maroochydore’s been busy pushing out a bunch of new-ish cafes.
Adding to an already impressive repertoire of eateries and coffee shops, these three joints are definitely worth adding to your hit list.
Already pros at demolishing hunger pains and only a few weeks old, Backstreet Cafe offers a mean brekkie and lunch menu. Find a posi down Lemon Tree Lane, order a Kai coffee—and then choose your medicine AKA “the dish that’ll make evvvvverything better”. We don’t wanna sway you, but we’ve heard great things about the pancakes and the smashed avo. So you should probs go both. *wink **no but really, go both
The Milk Bar Coffee Co.
Here’s to cool logos. And awesome names. And most importantly, great coffee and freakin’ satisfying food. Basically, The Milk Bar Coffee Co. has it all. From house-made wattleseed granola to freshly-baked cookies that are so delish (go the Mars! Or the Snickers. Or the… you get the point), the icing on the cake is the cute fitout and friendly service. The menu is small but if you still can’t decide, go the avo on toast—topped with goat’s feta, dukkah, and lemon, we can’t think of a better way to start the day.
Little Sisters Co.
Created by three sisters, Evelyn, Alison, and Glenys, you might’ve passed Little Sisters Co. without even knowing. This new little cafe popped up on Aerodrome Road just last month, and has been pumping out smooth coffee from the folk at Clandestino Roasters and more-ish baked treats (yep, these girls can bake!). Take a bit of extra spending money along too, as the girls also source, stock, and sell vintage threads from all over the world.
