We still haven’t fully recovered after the devastating cancellation of the 2020 Noosa Eat & Drink Festival; however, we’re here to bring you some much-needed good news.
The 2021 Noosa Eat & Drink is still happening, but with a few changes. Instead of the usual large-scale event, organisers have redesigned the entire festival around a series of smaller, more frequent events throughout the year, which allows for the programming of COVID-safe events for more intimate groups.
These changes, of course, are to be expected—there’s so much uncertainty around the pandemic as we head to the end of the year but thankfully, not all hope is lost when it comes to sampling the very best of the Sunshine Coast at the festival.
“One of the primary goals of hosting the festival is to bring visitors to our region in a traditionally quiet time and to showcase our incredible restaurants, breweries, distilleries and producers,” says Tourism Noosa CEO Melanie Anderson.
“By hosting several events throughout the year, we will have more opportunities to do this, getting visitors out and about across our region. We believe this is the best option to take the festival forward during these uncertain times, allowing us to program positive COVID-safe events for smaller, more intimate groups.”
Details of the first event, which is scheduled for late 2020, will be announced shortly so make sure to check back and follow @noosaeatdrink on Insta to stay in the loop.
